Perfina Launches Ceramic Tableware Manufacturing Plant in Tanzania, Strengthening Its Africa Localization Strategy

In early May 2025, Perfina, a global leader in ceramic tableware manufacturing, officially launched its new factory project in Mkuranga, Tanzania, marking a significant milestone in its Africa localization and investment strategy. The site has entered the land clearing and early construction phase, with the first batch of heavy construction equipment already in operation. Multiple excavators are working on tree removal and site leveling to prepare the area for the upcoming production facilities.

Tanzania’s rich natural resources and strategic location in East Africa make it a critical hub in Perfina’s global supply chain. This new Tanzania ceramic factory will enhance the company’s ability to serve both local and export markets, including sub-Saharan Africa, Europe, and the United States. Once operational, the facility will specialize in the production of high-quality ceramic tableware for household and commercial use.

The project is structured in two phases. Phase I includes the construction of a main production workshop, raw material storage, warehouse facilities, employee dormitories, and office areas. With advanced infrastructure in place, the plant will significantly boost production capacity and shorten lead times. Phase II is already reserved for future expansion, including automation upgrades and smart factory integration, aligning with global trends in intelligent manufacturing.
