On October 17, 2025, the vicinity of the Port of Dar es Salaam in East Africa’s Tanzania was adorned with colorful flags and resounded with warm applause – the ignition ceremony of the new daily-use ceramic factory of Perfina Group in Tanzania was grandly held here. Representatives from the local Ministry of Industry and Trade, leaders of Chamber of Commerce, core global industry partners, the project construction team, and executives of Perfina Group attended the ceremony together. Amid the roaring flames of the kiln, they witnessed the crucial moment when localized production of daily-use ceramics in Africa entered a new stage of high-quality development, marking the official landing of Perfina’s “China + Africa” dual-base strategy.

As a professional manufacturer deeply engaged in the daily-use ceramic industry for 23 years, Perfina has adhered to the development path of “quality as the foundation and innovation as the driving force” since its establishment in 2002. Leveraging the industrial advantages of Liling, one of China’s “Four Major Ceramic Cities”, Perfina has built a modern daily-use ceramic production base covering an area of over 30,000 square meters in Liling. Equipped with high-temperature vitrification kilns, intelligent glaze mixing systems, and full-process quality control testing lines, the base focuses on the R&D and production of a full range of daily-use ceramics, including ceramic mugs, bowls, plates, complete dinnerware sets, coffee cups, and tea sets. Through in-depth refinement of the shatter-resistant properties of stoneware materials and continuous investment in glaze design and shape innovation, Perfina’s products have not only passed global food safety certifications such as the US FDA and EU LFGB but also become a preferred partner for catering chains, home brands, and gift enterprises, establishing a brand label of “high quality and high cost-effectiveness” in the global daily-use ceramic OEM/ODM field.

The newly built Tanzania daily-use ceramic factory is a key move for Perfina to layout the global supply chain and empower local manufacturing in Africa. Covering a total area of 96 mu (approximately 64,000 square meters), the factory adheres to the principles of “intelligence, standardization, and flexibility” from equipment introduction to process commissioning: a full set of imported automatic forming machines and intelligent sorting lines have been commissioned, enabling efficient mass production of standardized daily-use ceramics such as ceramic mugs, bowls, and plates; At the same time, the reserved flexible production module can quickly respond to small-batch customization needs, such as developing glazed tableware integrating local cultural elements for local African catering chains or customizing limited-edition ceramic tea sets for European gift merchants. Notably, the new factory is adjacent to the Port of Dar es Salaam, a key logistics hub in East Africa. After commissioning, it will significantly shorten the delivery cycle to markets in East Africa, Southern Europe, and the Middle East. Combined with the high-density characteristics of stoneware itself, the cross-border transportation breakage rate can be reduced by more than 50%, creating an efficient supply chain system of “local production + global quality” for global customers.
“The ignition of the new factory in Tanzania is not a simple expansion of production capacity, but another important support point for Perfina in the R&D and process improvement of daily-use ceramics,” said the production director of Perfina Group at the ceremony. The new factory will simultaneously introduce the mature quality control system of the Liling base, setting up 12 inspection links from raw material selection to finished product delivery to ensure that every daily-use ceramic product meets the quality standards of being lead-free, non-toxic, microwave-resistant, and dishwasher-resistant; at the same time, the factory will also establish a local R&D team to develop ceramic utensils more suitable for local dietary scenarios in Africa based on local consumption habits, such as deepened soup bowls and non-slip handle mugs, further enriching Perfina’s product portfolio.

Local government representatives spoke highly of Perfina’s investment layout at the ceremony: “This daily-use ceramic factory not only creates more than 200 direct jobs for Tanzania but also promotes the local rooting of ceramic production technology through technical training and craft inheritance, helping us transform from ‘import dependence’ to ‘local manufacturing’.” It will gradually realize a virtuous cycle of “local sourcing + local production + local sales” in the future, which not only reduces production costs but also provides cost-effective solutions for the African daily-use ceramic market.

From Liling to Tanzania, from a single base to dual-base synergy, Perfina’s development trajectory has always been in sync with the upgrading needs of the global daily-use ceramic industry. The ignition of this new factory not only opens up a broader market space for Perfina but also injects new momentum into the African daily-use ceramic industry with practical actions. In the future, Perfina will continue to upgrade its daily-use ceramic OEM/ODM services through technological innovation, and through the synergistic advantages of the dual bases, provide more competitive products and services for global customers, helping partners seize opportunities in segments such as catering, home furnishing, and gifts, and jointly promoting the high-quality, localized, and sustainable development of the daily-use ceramic industry.
